Spanish High Court sends two Barcelona attack suspects to jail

Madrid [Spain], August 23 (ANI): The Spanish High Court has ordered two of the four suspects detained in connection with the attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils, which claimed 15 lives, Mohamed Houli Chemlal and Driss Oukabir, to jail, according to the court ruling.

A third suspect, Salh El Karib, will remain in police custody for 72 more hours for the pending further investigation.

The fourth suspect, Mohamed Aalla, will be released on certain conditions.

The Spanish Police had gunned down suspected driver behind the Barcelona terror attack, Younes Abouyaaqoub.

Spain's Interior Minister Juan Ignacio Zoido on August 19 stated that the terror cell behind Spain`s deadly twin attacks cell was believed to have consisted of at least twelve persons.

The four suspects are the only survivors of the 12-man terrorist cell. (ANI)
